Happy Friday ATX! š¤ Edition #56
Check out our list of the best things to do in Austin this weekend! šš¶šļø

Happy Friday ATX! š¤ Itās Super Bowl Weekend! Honestly was hoping weād have different teams this year⦠is there any way they can both lose? šš
This week I just want to remind you to focus on the signal, and to ignore all the noise.
What do I mean by that? Well the news cycle is as crazy as ever, its meant to keep you distracted, and keep you worried, and keep us all divided. Itās just noise.
Stay focused on creating, building relationships, building your network, and being a light in the world. Thatās the best use of your time. That will yield you far more results than doom scrolling and letting a 6 inch screen conquer your mind.
And with that⦠hereās your meme from this weekā¦

Weekend Forecast: Open the floodgates! Dry January is over and itās Super Bowl Weekend, with Pardi Gras, live music, and MORE Coffee Clubs! The weather will be awesome with lows in the 60s and highs in the upper 70s/80s. Whatever you do, get out there and savor living in one of the best cities in the world šļøš

Best thing we ate this week⦠So usually I try to avoid repeat features, but the first time we featured this was in the 6th newsletter we sent and it was only to ~200 people. There are maaaany more of you here now that need to know about this place. Cypress Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in town, and Iāve been eating Cajun food there since I was a kid. Think fried seafood, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, and incredible southern comfort food. We started with boudin balls and side salads, Kiana had the fried catfish plate (the fried catfish is gluten freeš¤Æ) and I had the crawfish delight, which is half crawfish etouffee, half fried crawfish tails, served with a bed of rice in the middle and a slice of garlic bread.
The drink menu here is awesome too, Mexican Martinis for $9.75 (served with the whole shaker - the only way) and a number of craft cocktails for just $10.
If you enjoy Cajun food, you will absolutely love Cypress Grill. If youāve never had Cajun food, what are you waiting for?! Itās some of the best cuisine in the country. (Iām a little biased⦠my last name does end in -eaux)

Most fun we had this week⦠We hit up a sweet coffee club at Proud Maryās last weekend, and let me say⦠weāre fans of the coffee club hype. The DJs were solid, the coffee was strong, the vibes were high. Itās a new series called Latt3 ATX, and thereās another one tomorrow at Padel 39. Thereās already 709 RSVPs and they have closed the RSVPs on Posh, so if you want to go you must find a way⦠and give them a follow so that you catch the next one.
Pro tip: (last time they werenāt checking RSVPs but this is a new location so no guarantees)

New Business that we want to try⦠Austin is next on the list for the Malibu Barbie Bar that has popped up in New York, Chicago, Miami, Houston, and the Mall of America. Kicking off on April 4th, the theme is 1970s Malibu, there will be all day dining by MasterChef finalist Becky Brown, and a skating rink with $1 rentals that will support Girls Inc.
