Happy Friday ATX! 🤠 It’s the Friday before Mardi Gras! That means it’s going to be a weekend full of good food and good parties! 🎭🦞🍹
Another week in the books! For those of you building things and pursuing dreams bigger than yourself (hopefully all of you?) I want to share a quote…

Sometimes you just have to trust the process, and enjoy the small things along the way.
The cups of coffee, the laughs with friends, the memories that pop back into your head randomly. Savor them.

Weather is going to be mostly sunny with highs in the 70s, perfect for getting out and enjoying all of the things that make Austin great. In other words, you have no excuses not to have a blast this weekend.🏁🏃🏻♂️➡️🤠
Best thing we ate this week… Soooo we went to the massive (2000 person) Latt3 coffee club at Fareground last week and while we were there I kept seeing these unbelievable looking smash burgers.
After identifying the source of the burgers and further examining, the spot was called Jabs (formerly known as Peace, Love, and Burgers) and they were making one of my favorite types of burgers: Oklahoma style smash burgers with grilled onions smashed into the patty. I had to try them even though it was only 11:45 in the morning. There are so many great burgers of different styles here that I don’t really believe there is a “best” burger in Austin (that would be akin to asking me my favorite song, the answer is it depends on the day), but this one was up there.
They just opened up in Fareground this past Wednesday. Next time you’re craving a solid smash burger go check this place out. They know what they’re doing.
Jabs Burgers
Most fun we had this week… We went to the Wind + Water 222 party at ROMA night club last weekend (home to one of our favorite taco spots Taqueria 10/10) and had a ton of fun. It is a nightclub where the downstairs is called ROMA, and the upstairs rooftop bar is called Reina. It’s a really awesome space, and is always full of people dancing and grooving. Think disco balls, Greek statues, and vibes.
It’s also a popular afters spot, and is often one of the last spots open so you have somewhere to go whenever the bars kick you out and you want to keep partying!

New Business that we want to try… The Greek Bar just opened, and we loooove all types of Mediterranean food. I can’t wait to try this place because they come to the game with some serious credibility. I mean, come on don’t you want your Greek food to come from a couple with the names Dimitri and Daphne? It’s not just the names, though. Daphne managed The Peacock Mediterranean Grill at Austin Proper and Juniper over in East Austin, and the couple teamed up with Chef Brian Beach from acclaimed San Francisco restaurant Kokkari. On paper, this should be one of my favorite new restaurants in town. I can’t wait to stuff my face with fresh pita, lamb chops, and saganaki to find out! Will report back soon.
