Happy Friday ATX! š¤ Itās National Exercise Day! Get out there and move yo bodies! šš»āāļøāā”ļøš§š»āāļøšš»
This week I have done a different type of workout every single day and Iām feeling sooo good.
Itās pretty wild how the basic things like moving and eating healthy can make you feel on top of the world.
If youāve been feeling down, ask yourself when the last time you pushed your earth suit was?
If itās been awhile, today is a great day to get back in the groove or even start something new!
You donāt need a fancy gym or fitness studio membership, my favorite workout this week was doing calisthenics in Zilker alone as the sun set. It may be hard in the moment but I can promise you wonāt regret it.

Weekend Forecast: Day parties galore! š When browsing events this weekend, I was shocked at the sheer number of day parties happening. If the rain holds off, (and even if it doesnāt!) it should be a wonderful weekend of dancing, vibing, and celebrating 4/20 if that is your thing! š¶āš«ļø
Some of our favorite events are Adam Rayās Dr. Phil Live, the Sunday Latt3 Coffee club (where our very own Kiana is DJing 10-11a), and my country bandās show at Inn Cahoots tonight 8-11p!

Best thing we ate this weekā¦ Kiana taught yoga at AM Wellness Disco at The Lawn on SoCo last weekend, and we had some brunch from 2 of the food trucks on site after the yoga class. The goat cheese and black bean tamales from Tamale Addiction were our savory choice, and the collagen banana waffle stack from Nourished ATX was our sweet choice.
The tamales were some of the best tamales Iāve had, simple but soooo flavorful with explosions of the tangy goat cheese cutting through the smooth refried black beans in each bite. The waffles from Nourished ATX were equally as special, and I love the ethos of Nourished ATX. They provide clean eats free of gluten, dairy, seed oils, and refined sugars, a breath of fresh air in a world where so much of our food is full of junk.
Iād be remiss if I didnāt mention our dear friend Breeās CBD truck Raw Remedies, which is also located at The Lawn. Her Texas Breeze THC:CBD drinks in the prickly pear hibiscus lemon flavor are some of the tastiest I have found.
The Lawn
Most fun we had this weekā¦ Last night I got a text at about 10p to come to The Gallery at Austinās legendary Continental Club, and I figured why not, because the alternative was sitting on the couch watching the weekend warm up to the Formula 1 race in Jeddah.
I had no idea what to expect, except that it was a residency show for Da Homies (led by Jon Deas of the Kill Tony Podcast). Turns out Da Homies' Thursday night show is sort of a curated jam night, chock-full of some of Austinās best musicians. If you donāt know about The Continental Club, itās one of Austinās oldest music institutions and has played host to some of Austinās most notorious music legends over the years. Among those legends are Jimmie Vaughn (Stevieās brother) and Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top), just to name a couple.
The night got even cooler when Jon told me to join them on stage for a few songs, so of course I did, and we ripped a killer rendition of Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Nights like this are why Austin, Texas holds the keys to my heart. This type of musical energy just doesnāt exist in that many places anymore, and it happens every Thursday night here in the Live Music Capitol of the World.

Upcoming Event Highlightā¦ Glowdeo is riding into Austin on May 17, 2025, and itās bringing a whole new shine to country music. Hosted at The Far Out Lounge, this neon-drenched, high-energy hoedown features rising stars Don Louis, Brooke Eden, Demps, and DJ Hexumāall pushing the boundaries of what country sounds like.
