Happy Friday ATX! 🤠 It’s International Axe Throwing Day! Hit up Axe Force in South Austin if you want to participate!
Sorry we missed you last week. We had to take a lil vacation out to Florida to enjoy some beach time.
I have a new favorite beach in the U.S. and it’s called Passe-A-Grille on St. Pete Beach.
It felt like something straight out of the tropics with gorgeous sea shells and white sand.
Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a domestic beach trip.
Anyways let’s bring the focus back to Austin, here’s your meme for this week!

Weekend Forecast: It’s going to be a jam-packed summer weekend in Austin. From Sunset rooftop weekend kick off DJ sets, to convenience store raves, and of course various cold plunge and wellness clubs, this weekend has some serious fun on offer… and with temps peaking in the low 90’s it’s not even that hot yet! ☀️🎧🌇
Best thing we ate this week… Finally tried Il Brutto after many years of wanting to. It’s an Italian spot over on the East side that serves pasta, pizza, and other elevated Italian fare. We had a nice spread including a beautiful beet salad, roasted broccolini, smoked kale & ricotta agnolotti, and a cacio e pepe. The food was awesome, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was dimly lit and felt nice to be in. It was a solid dinner, but I almost never have any thoughts about price, and I left here feeling like I spent a little too much for the value I received in terms of service and quality of the food. I think there are better spots to spend $200+ on dinner for 2, but it was still the best thing we ate this past week.

Most fun we had this week… When was the last time you went roller skating at a sweet roller rink? If you’re like me, it’s been a little while. That changed this past Wednesday when we went to the Austin Roller Rink for adult night. It’s a 21+ BYOB roller skating night at an OG Austin roller rink that happens every Wednesday. Adults only, skating and dancing around a neon-lit roller rink with a DJ setting the vibe. It’s $10 and includes a pair of rental skates if needed. What could you possibly be doing that is more fun than that on a Wednesday night?

New Business that we want to try… Hana Shaved Ice is a new “snow cone” spot in Austin, but instead of artificial dye-filled, fake syrups, they’re opting for organic fruit syrups and fresh fruit toppings. This looks like the perfect way to beat the heat. They don’t have a physical location yet, so follow them on Instagram to see where they’re popping up next!
