Best thing we ate this weekā¦ Fish Shop is newer restaurant on the east side that opened this summer and itās a place with amazing high quality seafood, very friendly service, and a north eastern feel. Picture youāre in a cute little Maine town in a restaurant with upscale design and finishes with a casual approachable vibe.
We sat at their bar seating which looks into their exposed kitchen. Itās almost like you have a front row seat on an episode of The Bear. All the chefs were very professional but still have an organic demeanor.
Our favorite dish was the Crudo a la Swan which included a trio of salmon, tuna, and scallops. The melt in your mouth effect of these fish truly blew me away. We also tried their off menu Fish Filet Sandwich. It was light and airy with just the right amount of flakiness. It was a good portion size but I didn't feel too heavy afterwards. We paired our dinner with a Chien Blanc, one of our go to white wines which typically have notes of bright pear and citrus. Our serverās recommendation was the Lobster Toast. It was lovely as well with a kombu butter buerre blanc and osetra caviar. I did have to look up what this type of butter is so for reference itās a classic French butter sauce infused with the savory, umami flavor of kombu (dried kelp).
To top off the delightful experience I had one of my all time favorite desserts. An affogato! Fish Shop serves theirs with olive oil and sea salt ice cream from Lick the Austin based creamery with Figure 8 espresso. I ate it as slowly as possible because I just didn't want it to end. Overall Iād recommend Fish Shop for a date night, place to catch up with friends, or even a solo dining experience. You can also stop by for happy hour on weekdays from 3-5pm and walk ins are welcome! Go give them a try.

Most fun we had this weekā¦ Last Sunday I got to DJ at Icebreaker by Jacoby Plunges, and it was such a fun wellness event and a great way to start my Sunday.
If you havenāt been, Icebreaker is a wellness and recovery experience built around community. Think saunas, ice baths, a Pilates class, a group run, wellness brands, and people who genuinely show up for good energy and connection.
Iāve been to plenty of coffee clubs and community wellness events, and this one was far more intentional, more about restoration and connection.
